The Webcast just covered some more information about Google’s new Personalized Home Page.

Here’s how it looks (click on image for a bigger view):

The layout is real clean – very Google style. You can edit each section directly and move boxes around to change the arrangement of the page. Google is using the same technology as their other new applications (Gmail, Google Maps, etc) so everything is very smooth when editing.

In a couple months Google will be allowing RSS feed inclusion on the Personalized Home Page – this might be a web-based RSS aggregator killer, similar to Gmail’s impact on the web-based email market. We’ll have to see.

Currently you can choose from:

  • Gmail
  • Stock Market
  • New York Times
  • BBC News
  • Google News
  • Weather
  • Wired News
  • Slashdot
  • Movies
  • Driving Directions
  • Quote of the Day
  • Word of the Day

Update: Danny Sulivan has a comprehensive review.
