Just a month and a half after aquiring Urchin, Google has slashed the monthly subscription price of Urchin on Demand by 60%.

In addition to the reduced price and increased number of profiles, Urchin On Demand is now able to import -pay–per-click costs directly from Google AdWords accounts.

By lowering the price of Urchin and adding direct AdWords support, Google’s web analytics offering is positioned for marketshare gain.

More importantly, a low cost enterprise level web analytics package with direct AdWords support will encourage advertisers to choose AdWords over Yahoo’s Search Marketing products.

Update: Marketer Today comes to the same conclusion. Google’s price change of Urchin garners more AdWords sales.
